Canberra Bushwalking Club - Joining

All members must be over 18 years of age. Prospective members should first read the Club's "Notes for Participants", complete at least one Club trip and then be proposed and seconded by two members of the Club. Take the application form on your walk, complete it, then forward it with your subscription (see below) to:

Arrangements will then be made for you to receive the Club's monthly newsletter (it), which includes the activities program.

There are two membership categories - Single and Household (two adults at the same address). Subscription rates are set at the Annual General Meeting each September and may change from year to year. Rates currently are $37.00 for Single membership and $56.00 for Household membership. There is a discount of $10 if you elect to download the it newsletter from the Club's website instead of receiving it in the post - i.e. Single $27 & Household $46.

The Club has a rolling membership year and a new member will receive membership for approximately twelve months from when they join. All memberships end at the end of a month and new members get twelve months worth of newsletters.
